Can you spot some of the tell-tale signs of spam?
As spam filters have become more advanced, so too have spam-creators as they try to create content that confuses us and tricks us into believing it might be legitimate.
Before you click on that email or link and get in too deep, here’s two simple things to check that can help you prevent spam emails before it’s too late.
1. Check the email address the email is coming from.
If it’s not from a legitimate email address that includes the URL of the company it’s purportedly from, it’s most likely to be spam.
2. Hover over the links to check where they direct you to.
If either the email address or any links are not obviously linked with the company the email is pretending to be, then it is likely a hoax.
