SNL Building Constructions are a busy construction company with 26 staff across multiple locations.
When the team moved from their old location into their brand new purpose-built offices, they needed a smooth transition with minimal downtime.
Development Manager Leonie Lewis explained the factors riding on the move.
‘In our industry, we have specific timeframes to meet especially, with properties settling regularly. We can’t afford to be offline for any length of time. If our system isn’t operational, then everyone is down’.
Gravity IT designed a solution and put a plan in place to ease the changeover.
It meant in-house IT Co-Ordinator Helen Mortimer didn’t have to stress.
‘Glenn and the team replaced the existing server, got us up and running with remote access and assistance in new space. They came in at 1pm on a Friday afternoon as we transitioned from the old building to the new building. On Monday morning they ironed out a few tiny niggles and we were ready to go again’.
SNL Building Constructions had previously worked with a different IT company, but they made the change to Gravity IT just over a year ago.
‘Gravity are always contactable, they have a faster response time and are easier to work with’ says Helen. ‘The team works really well together, playing to each other’s strength and nothing is a problem for them’.
